Individual Yoga Lessons

Whether you have studied yoga or not, individual yoga lessons are highly effective ways to relieve pain, release tension, correct imbalances, create alignment, calm the mind, and restore harmony and balance to your body, mind, heart, and spirit. Individual yoga lessons also help you jump start and troubleshoot your yoga practice.

With your consent and permission, I offer you the following:

  • Offer one-on-one assistance to wake up the body’s energetic and neuromuscular system, with your permission. 
  • Create a nonjudgmental and safe environment for you to freely express yourself.
  • Uphold confidentiality. 
  • Assess your physical alignment visually:  left to right, front to back, top to bottom.
  • Assess your energy level.
  • Assess your spinal alignment.
  • Look for muscular, bone, or joint misalignment.
  • Assess your physical capabilities to decide how I can help you best. 
  • Apply kinesiology techniques to determine what muscles are weak and need to be activated. 
  • Offer pranayama techniques to calm the mind and nervous system, if applicable.
  • Offer mantras to help heal past emotional pain, if applicable. 
  • Identify and assist you to confidently practice approximately 3 yoga postures that are achievable and repeatable for you. 
  • Create a course of yoga treatment for you that you can confidently practice, until I see you again.

  • Align muscles, joints, bones, and spine.
  • Improve posture.
  • Increase flexibility.
  • Create flexibility in your leg muscles.
  • Release stress.
  • Calm your nervous system.
  • Improve your health.
  • Increase energy levels.
  • Improve athletic performance. 
  • Improve balance.
  • Relieve lower back pain.
  • Relieve pain in your neck and shoulders. 
  • Relieve tight muscles. 
  • Create flexibility in your hips.
  • Increase range of motion at the joints.

No, you do not have to have prior knowledge or a practice of yoga to benefit from a yoga lesson.

I make the poses we practice together achievable and repeatable for you, in a simple yet powerfully effective way. 

30 minute and 60 minute sessions are available. 

Yes. We can modify poses so that you practice chair yoga. If needed, we can use the wall, benches, or table tops to help you with balance in a pose. 

I provide any props needed for your yoga lesson. But, you may want to bring your own yoga mat and any personal yoga props that you currently use.

Whether you have studied yoga or not, anyone is welcome to sign-up for an individual yoga lesson. I work with yoga students, yoga teachers, athletes, and dancers. Also, I work with individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or illness such as cancer. I work with individuals who have chronic pain, misalignments, or lack freedom of movement. All ages are welcome.
