Saturday Yoga Sessions  –  April 18, 2026
Inspiration:
“The practice of asanas lubricates the joints and increases mobility, bringing awareness to each muscle, joint, and organ. Different combinations of asanas improve the range of movement for each muscle and joint, helping align the left and right sides of the body.” — B.K.S. Iyengar

Saturday, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm | Session A

Yoga for Bone Health

Yoga for bone health involves weight-bearing, strengthening yoga poses that increase bone density and can reduce fracture risks. particularly beneficial for osteopenia and osteoporosis.

Benefits:

  • Increased Bone Density: Weight-bearing poses put gentle pressure on bones, stimulating the production of new bone cells.
  • Reduced Fracture Risk: Improved balance, coordination, and strength reduce the risk of falls, a primary cause of fractures in people with low bone density.
  • Targeted Strengthening: Poses like Warrior II, Triangle, and Tree pose focus on strengthening the hips, spine, and wrists, areas most vulnerable to osteoporosis.
  • Improved Posture: Specialized poses help correct the hunched-over posture associated with aging and osteoporosis, reducing stress on the spine.
  • Safe Movement: Unlike high-impact exercises, these classes offer a low-impact, controlled environment suitable for all levels, particularly seniors

Transformational Work:
Awaken your inner strength and flexibility through guided feedback, helping you evolve in both body and mind.

Saturday, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm | Session B

Breath.Vitality. Digestive Health.

Increase Vitality, Aid Digestion, and Decrease Stress with Breathing Techniques and Asanas.

Deep, mindful breathing helps the body to rest and digest. Breathing deeply and mindfully takes us out of the flight-fright-fight response that causes blood to move from the gut to other larger muscles in body.  Being in a constant flight-fright-fight response interferes with digestion and weakens the immune system and can increase inflammation.

In this class, we will practice alternate nostril breathing to encourage slow, mindful breathing to help the body and mind relax, so the nervous system experiences calm feelings and a sense of safety.

We will also connect to the body’s gut-brain axis, by practicing diaphragm breathing and abdominal breathing (belly breath), to bring more concentrated blood into the belly and gut area of the body to improve digestion.

The asanas (yoga postures) we practice will aid our digestion process and improve our immune response.

Benefits include:

  • Relax and calm your nervous system to improve digestion
  • Relieve upper abdominal pain, discomfort, and distention
  • Relieve belching,  flatulence, and the feeling of being full
  • Relieve stress and tension
  • Rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit
  • Recharge your energy system
  • Recover from physical and mental fatigue
  • Relieve exhaustion and breathlessness

Transformational Work:  Unlock your body’s potential with guided feedback, creating space for energy flow and relaxation.

Sunday Yoga Sessions – April 26, 2026
Inspiration:
“Asanas make your body supple and bring alertness to your mind, while soothing your nerves and glands, relaxing your brain, and maintaining physical, physiological, and emotional balance.” — B.K.S. Iyengar

Sunday, 9:00 am – 11:00 am | Session C

The Art of Practice

Description: The Art of Practice is a yoga journey of self-discovery and personal transformation that requires discipline, effort, and a commitment to being present in the moment. Mindful movement and yoga flow cultivates inner peace, balance, and self-awareness, so you can connect with your true essence.

This class includes meditation, breathing, chanting, and body awareness.

Challenge yourself
Start your practice by challenging yourself with difficult movements, and look for new challenges each day.
Be present
Let go of the past and the future, and focus on your practice in the moment.
Embrace the journey
The art of yoga practice is about accepting the process of self-discovery, not about achieving perfection in poses.

Physical, Mental, and Emotional Benefits:

  • Builds strength and flexibility: The continuous, flowing movements through various poses build muscle strength and lengthen muscles, increasing overall flexibility and mobility.
  • Improves cardiovascular health: The faster pace and continuous motion increase your heart rate, providing a cardio workout and improving stamina.
  • Enhances posture and balance: By building core strength and improving body awareness, it can lead to better posture and coordination.
  • Aids in weight management: Some studies suggest that the cardiovascular benefits can lead to weight loss, especially when practiced regularly.
  • Promotes circulation and detox: The increased heart rate and internal heat can stimulate blood flow and circulation, helping to purify the body.
  • Reduces stress and anxiety: Syncing breath with movement acts as a moving meditation, which helps quiet the mind, reduce stress, and calm anxiety.
  • Improves focus and concentration: The practice requires a high level of focus on the breath and movements, which can improve concentration both on and off the mat.
  • Boosts mood: By releasing tension in the body and mind, and potentially triggering the release of endorphins, flow yoga can elevate your mood and promote a more positive outlook.
  • Increases mindfulness: The mindful connection between breath, movement, and body awareness fosters a deeper sense of presence and self-connection

Transformational Work:
Feel the positive energy flow, and receive expert feedback to enhance your body’s foundation and alignment.
