Boost Your Digestive Fire
This class is designed to ignite the digestive fire to help your body assimilate nutrients so that the body, mind, and spirit are well- nourished. If possible, refrain from eating a heavy meal before this class. You can drink water with lemon and honey, to stimulate your digestion and support a light detox process.
The body has the capacity to eliminate waste through its circulatory system/breath system, digestive system, integumentary (skin) system, and lymphatic system.
How? “Yoga flow produces heat and relieves tightness (constriction) in our muscles, bones, and joints. As we inhale and exhale through our yoga postures we will add heat (yang/agni fire) to spark our digestive fire, while we release (yin) toxins and/or impurities in our body.” BKS Iyengar
Through this unique practice of yoga, we will assist the body to eliminate impurities such as carbon dioxide, lactic acid, sweat, and lymphatic fluid, while allowing oxygenated and nutrient-rich blood to readily flow into the organs, tissues, cells, and muscles of the body.
Pranayama: Belly breathing and/or alternate nostril breathing
Asanas: Standing postures, Balance Poses, Simple Inversions, Domes, Forward Folds, and Supported Inversions
Restoratives: Setu Bandha Sarvangasana and Savasana
Healing Injury? For those who have a history of injury or trauma and notice that the effects of the minor/major injuries are beginning to interfere with your everyday lives, please note that all of the yoga classes are naturally healing.
Each yoga class is designed to help release stored pain, anxiety, stress, or tension you may be experiencing so that vital, healing energy – prana – can move freely through the entire body. When vital energy is flowing freely (not obstructed), you experience positive emotions, revitalized energy, mental clarity, lightness, pain relief, and an overall sense of well-being.

Whether you have attended any of my yoga classes in the past or not, you are welcome to attend any or all of these classes.
Beginner – with at least 6 months of yoga experience
One yoga mat, necessary
