Time:  Morning Yoga Session is 8:30 am – 11:30 am & Afternoon Yoga Session is 3 pm – 6 pm  (Eastern Time Zone)

We practice yoga, pranayama, and meditation in a natural setting to find inner balance and tranquility. Spending time outside and in a natural environment will guide and support you in finding greater harmony, health, and happiness, so you feel a deeper sense of inner calm, emotional stability, and overall well-being.

This retreat is designed to accelerate your self-discovery and growth and provide you with crucial tools to interpret and understand your experience for a more present and purposeful life.

Love Farm is located on a stunning 80 acre farm overlooking Lake Michigan, with views of the North and South Manitou Islands. The newly renovated wooden barn is home of our yoga ashram and has gorgeous south and north facing windows offering exquisite light within the barn.

The yoga ashram is located on the second floor of the barn and overlooks a beautiful, organic garden, full of gorgeous flowers, herbs, and organic vegetables. I will have a community garden plot at Love Farm, so we can harvest home-grown organic vegetables, herbs, and flower bouquets.

Your Natural 2024 Summer Yoga Wilderness Retreat Experience Includes:

  • Daily Yoga Schedule – Two (2) yoga classes for four (4) days – plus one half day (1/2) of yoga on Wednesday; Unique yoga techniques such as Transformational Work, Artful Alignment, pranayama, and meditation.
  • Deep, Nature Connection – Enjoy a deep, nature connection coupled with the crispness of the air to awaken your senses and infuse your yoga practice with a renewed sense of clarity, energy, and an enthusiastic spirit.   • Farm-to-Table Gluten-free Meals –  Gluten-free breakfasts, lunches, & dinners are provided daily, and to the best of our abilities we will be offering locally-sourced and organic food options. Each day we share meals together and eat a light breakfast of rice cakes, organic nut butters and jellies, fruits, coffee and teas, and share in daily delicious, organic lunches and dinners.

      Head Chef, Stevie Sahutske offers exquisite gourmet farm-to-table meals that are delicious and nutritious.
    • Food Allergies?  Please let me know with your registration if you have any mild or serious food allergies or sensitivities, so we can accommodate your needs. This is vitally important. 
  • Camping –  Enjoy natural beauty, breathe in the fresh air, listen to the birds and animals in the background, and gaze up at the stars.  
    • Tent Camping or Sleeping in Ashram
      Tent camping is available (no car camping). Sleeping on the second floor of the barn in the yoga ashram is also available. If this second option is chosen, keeping a clean, tidy area is required and rising early is mandatory. Let me know what your preference is when you register. 
    • Camp Counselor
      Jeremy Olstyn will orient you to the logistics of the Summer outdoor camp and yoga ashram, as well as help you set your tent, etc. 
  • Play – Each day will be filled with fun activities such as swimming in Lake Michigan, beach olympics, hiking in the forest or on the beach, beach fires and sunsets, and beach dancing.
  • Rest, Art, and Intentional Solitude – If you want to take it slow and easy there will be quiet areas for art and/or journaling. 

2024 Summer Yoga Wilderness Retreat – Highlights

  • Daily farm-to-table gluten-free meals locally-sourced (as much as possible) and organic. 
  • Daily yoga practice to achieve strength, flexibility, and connection between mind, body, heart, and breath. 
  • Yoga postures that align, energize, and heal the body, mind, and heart for purposeful and conscious living.
  • Learn conscious and controlled breathing techniques (pranayama) to promote relaxation, stress-reduction, and emotional healing.
  • Daily meditation practice is scientifically proven to create lasting change by setting intentions in our mind and feeling positive emotions in our heart.

  • Gong therapy is a vibrational healing technique to soothe and relax the brain and nervous system. 
  • Sauna therapy is an ancient healing tool to detoxify and ease pain. Excellent for cardiovascular health, and to look and feel our best.
  • Art, journaling, and painting as a creative expression of abundance and gratitude. 
  • Water therapy includes swimming in Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake, beach camp fires, beach olympics, and fun beach games.

2024 Summer Yoga Wildness Retreat Daily Overview

  •  Friday, June 28, 2024 = Arrival – Feel free to arrive early in the morning or anytime on Friday to set up your tent, set up your yoga props in the yoga ashram (upstairs in the barn), as well as familiarize yourself with the Summer Camp.  
  • Saturday – Wednesday (1/2 day), June 29 – July 3, 2024
    • 6:30 am – 8:15 am:  Breakfast: Coffee, Tea, Fruit, Yogurt, Rice Cakes, Butters and Jams. 
    • 8:30 am – 11:30 am:  Pranayama. Yoga. Meditation. Sound Immersion. Restoratives.  
    • 11:30 am – 3 pm:  Lunch. Beach time. Relaxation. Art.
    • 3 pm – 6 pm: Pranayama. Yoga. Meditation. Transformational work. Sound Immersion. Restoratives. 
    • 6:15 pm – 10 pm: Dinner. Beach fire. Beach games. Walk or adventure. Art.  

Not into Camping and Need Lodging?

If camping is not for you and you would like to attend this years summer yoga retreat, you could to stay in a near-by air bnb (I can make some recommendations) or book a room at a local motel. Please contact me if you need my assistance with this as I know friends who have wonderful air bnb’s.

Healing Injury? For those who have a history of injury or trauma and notice that the effects of the minor/major injuries are beginning to interfere with your everyday lives, please note that all of the yoga classes are naturally healing.

Each yoga class is designed to help release stored pain, anxiety, stress, or tension you may be experiencing so that vital, healing energy – prana – can move freely through the entire body. When vital energy is flowing freely (not obstructed), you experience positive emotions, revitalized energy, mental clarity, lightness, pain relief, and an overall sense of well-being.


Whether you have attended any of my yoga retreats, workshops, or classes in the past or not, you are welcome to attend any or all of these retreat classes.

SKILL LEVEL: All levels are welcome. Come practice with Kari before the yoga retreat.

Beginner –  6 months of yoga experience is helpful

Your cooperation and understanding of this cancellation policy is greatly appreciated. If you have booked a space for the retreat and are unable to attend for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible, so that space can be offered to someone else. 

  • For cancellations 30 days (5/30/2024) or more in advance of the retreat, 100% of the registration cost will be refunded.
  • For cancellations up to 16 days (6/14/2024) prior to the retreat, 30% of the registration cost will be refunded.
  • Cancellations within 15 days (6/15/2024) of the retreat, registration cost cannot be refunded.
  • In the event of the cancellation of the retreat by the organizer, you will receive a full registration cost refund.
