Join us for this invigorating and challenging yoga practice to uplift your energy, so you feel powerful, connected, relaxed, and energized in your body, mind, heart, and spirit.
This yoga series synergistically combines standing poses with hip openers to awaken the psoas and activate the gluteus maximus (buttuck) muscles. The psoas muscle is often a “hidden” or dormant muscle, that we first must isolate in each pose – usually by contraction – to awaken it and hence bring it back into our consciousness.
The strength of the psoas muscle is essential for the health of the lower back and creates upright posture from pelvic floor, upward towards the upper spine. Awakening the psoas also relieves sciatica and creates more freedom of movement at the hip joint.
