Flying Upwards: Align and Energize
Sun Salutations connect us with the outer warmth and energy of the Sun as well as our inner warmth and divine power.
This asana practice is designed to fan and ignite the flames of your first, second, and third chakra to increase your digestive fire. Internal belly heat can help us to transform “food” into cellular power and energy. Heat also has a positive cleansing affect at the cellular level.
Included is belly breathing and uddiyana bandha breathing to bring more prana – life energy – into our solar plexus.
Pranayama: Belly Breathing and Uddiyana Bandha
Uddiyana Bandha is translated from Hindu to mean “flying upwards” or “upward abdominal lock.” Uddiyana Bandha tones the abdominal muscles and diaphragm and is best practiced on an empty stomach, only after an exhalation, and if possible in a standing posture.

Healing Injury? For those who have a history of injury or trauma and notice that the effects of the minor/major injuries are beginning to interfere with your everyday lives, please note that all of the yoga classes are naturally healing.
Each yoga class is designed to help release stored pain, anxiety, stress, or tension you may be experiencing so that vital, healing energy – prana – can move freely through the entire body. When vital energy is flowing freely (not obstructed), you experience positive emotions, revitalized energy, mental clarity, lightness, pain relief, and an overall sense of well-being.

Whether you have attended any of my yoga classes in the past or not, you are welcome to attend any or all of these classes.
